    Product Description

1 x large cutting approx 15cm Graptopetalum Paraguayense, also known as the Ghost Plant, is a popular succulent plant native to Tamaulipas, Mexico. It gets its name from the stunning pale grey or whitish leaves that often look ghostly in appearance. The leaves are thick, fleshy, and arrange themselves in a rosette pattern, and they sometimes develop a pink or yellow tint when exposed to strong sunlight. This plant is known for its high resilience and low maintenance needs, making it an ideal choice for beginner gardeners. Alternative Names: In addition to Ghost Plant, Graptopetalum Paraguayense is also commonly referred to as Mother of Pearl due to its beautiful pearlescent colour. Other names include Sedum weinbergii and Pearl Plant. Care Guide in Australia: - Light: Ghost plants prefer bright light. They should be kept in a place where they get several hours of sunlight each day, preferably in the morning or late afternoon when the sun is not too strong. - Temperature: Ghost plants prefer mild to warm climates and are not frost-tolerant. In Australia, this plant should be protected from freezing temperatures during the cooler months. - Water: Being a succulent, Graptopetalum Paraguayense doesn’t require much water. During warmer months, watering should occur only when the top inch of the soil feels dry. In winter, watering can be reduced even more. - Soil: A well-draining potting mix designed for succulents is essential to prevent root rot. You can buy succulent soil or make your own by combining regular potting soil with coarse sand or perlite. - Fertiliser: While not essential, you can boost your Ghost Plant's growth by feeding it a diluted liquid fertiliser specifically designed for succulents during the growing season. - Repotting: Ghost Plants are slow-growers and usually do not need repotting. However, if the plant outgrows its pot or the soil becomes depleted of nutrients, you may need to repot. Always use a pot with drainage holes and fresh, well-draining soil. Remember that all plants are unique and care instructions can vary depending on the specific conditions in your home or garden.
